There are animal stars in Las Vegas too. Not to mention reptiles, birds, beetles and aquatic life as well. For anyone who loves animals, whether you’re a kid or an adult, you’ll find a lot to choose from in Las Vegas. Why, you’ll even find shows where animals are the stars of the show and you could walk into a nightclub and find that it has its shows centered around animals. Vegas surely is the place to be if you are searching for make-believe and escapism.
If animals make you feel all warm and fuzzy, you must swing by the Southern Nevada Zoological-Botanical Park. This is certainly one of the smaller zoos you have been to but it makes up for it with some very rare animals. Here you’ll be fortunate to find the last of the Barbary apes in America. You can also take a look at the strange reptiles and emus, chimpanzees, flamingos and wallabies.
You can do some animal observing in Las Vegas, not just in the zoos but in museums too. You may just find some free shows you can attend. You’ll find animal acts at the nightclubs too. Make sure you don’t miss the Mirage when you’re in Las Vegas. You’ll find the White Tiger Habitat here where you can see these spectacular animals in pristine white environs. Why white? So the animals can blend in and feel protected to some degree. These creatures are extinct now in the wild so you can count yourself fortunate to be able to see them and as a free exhibit at that!
Also at the Mirage, you’ll see the Mirage Aquarium with its huge articficial coral reef and sixty species that belong to the coral reefs from all around the planet. This 20,000-gallon saltwater aquarium is just behind the front desk and displays a host of strange sea creatures. You’ll also discover the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat here. This provides a good environment for these incredible animals and is also a remarkable place for people to learn about the role they play in the biosphere. If you are over 13, you can pay a fee and become a trainer for one full day and this makes for a very memorable experience.
If you’d like some more insight into marine life, remember to visit the Mandalay Baby Shark Reef which turns out to be among the largest when it comes to aquatic shows in the USA. There is an entrance fee but it’s worth paying that fee because it really is one of the best outings you can have in Las Vegas. All this is just a foretaste of what Las Vegas can provide. There’s huge amount more to see of course. If you’re an animal lover, you’ll discover so much that will appeal to you in Vegas.
