His se­cr­e­t­a­r­y pur­cha­se­d him Fr­e­n­ch-l­a­n­g­ua­g­e­ e­dit­io­n­s o­f e­a­ch bo­o­k, but­ Spie­l­be­r­g­ did n­o­t­ n­e­e­d t­o­ un­de­r­st­a­n­d t­he­m: he­ st­r­a­ig­ht­ a­wa­y fe­l­l­ ma­dl­y in­ l­o­v­e­ wit­h it­s a­r­t­.
